What exactly is WestSideWill Radio?

WestSideWill Radio is an internet only radio station that showcases the finest unsigned artists from around the globe.

Well that's great, but what does WestSideWill Radio do for me as an unsigned artist?

We do all sorts of great stuff for you my friend! When you submit a song to WestSideWill Radio you qualify for the two shows that are currently aired on WestSideWill.com, the Unsigned Artist Showcase and the Top 10 Unsigned Artist Countdown! Along with the airtime you receive you also get listed in our Artist Directory, which just so happens to be the #1 Google search for a lot of our bands. Also for our artists we feature a calendar that lists your shows and album/show reviews that will let the world know what we think of your music..

Ok, WestSideWill Radio seems to do a lot of neat stuff, but I bet this costs me something!

Wrong again! WestSideWill.com is a 100% free site. We don't have any log-ins, memberships, or downloads. We just play music, and we don't charge anyone anything.

Ohhhh, so you are trying to be a trickster and steal the rights to my music?

Not at all! The only right we request you grant us is the right to play your track on our air! That's it. We don't have the right to reproduce or sell your songs, nor do we have the right to allow users to download your music!

I like it, sign me up! How does that happen?

This is an easy one, simply click the link on the left hand side of this page that says "Submit a Song". Once you click that link follow the easy steps and you are done!

So when I submit a song it's a sure thing you will play my music?

Not exactly. The first step is making sure you filled out the submission form correctly. The next step is listening to your music to make sure it's of radio quality. And after all of that if the track meets the minimum standards for play you are added to our rotation. We try to play all of the new music we get each week on our Thursday Unsigned Artist Showcase, but we cannot promise anything. The Top 10 show is a completely different animal. To be played on this show you must meet all of the above requirements PLUS have a song that receives votes from our staff and fans!

How do fans vote on my music?

Ok, when is the Unsigned Artist Showcase played?

The Unsigned Artist Showcase airs everyday (Monday - Thursday) all day! Just click the link on the left that says Artist Showcase and then hit play.

How about the Top 10 Unsigned Artist Countdown?

The Unsigned Artist Countdown works much the same way. Just click the link on the left that says Radio and the show will start automatically. The only difference is that the Top 10 show goes live every Friday at 8pm Central time, and then replays throughout the week.

How will I know if my music is played?

On the submission form you fill out you are asked for an email address for our use, guess what use that is? That's right! It is to email you the day that your music is played, and because the show airs all day you can click on anytime to hear yourself and the other great artists on the show.

Who hosts these shows?

Click the link on the left that says Meet the Djs, and meet the DJs!

What other stuff do you guys have going on?

We have our blog section that offers a new blog every day of the week, along with an interview that goes up every Thursday! On top of all that we are accepting music video submissions for a new feature on our site that will be up in the coming months. Email westside@westsidewill.com for more info on that.

Will you interview me?

Sure, we would love to! Currently we are booked through '08 with interviews though, and you would have to be set up as an alternate. To be added to this list you have to be an artist on our air. Email media@westsidewill.com RE: Interview for more info.
